August 26, 2015: General Mills Recalls Frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans Due to Concerns of Listeria Contamination

Cascadian Farm Green Bean Recall Announcement – On August 26, 2015, General Mills recalled a small quantity of its frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans because the product has the potential to be contaminated with the bacterial foodborne pathogen Listeria monocytogenes.

The green bean recall was initiated after a package of finished bean product tested positive for the presence of Listeria.

Green Bean Recall Information

A company press release stated that 10-ounce bags of frozen Cascadian Farm Cut Green Beans with either of two “Better If Used By” dates printed on the package were subject to the recall:

“Better If Used By” date 10APR2016
“Better If Used By” date 11APR2016

The recalled frozen green beans were produced and packaged in March of 2014, and were distributed to retail establishments nationwide. No other varieties or production dates of Cascadian Farm products are affected by this recall.

Consumers are urged to not eat the recalled frozen green beans.
