The outbreak appears to be linked to a Burger King in the central Minnesota town of Redwood Falls.

Health officials are investigating the outbreak. According to Mary Woodford, environmental health specialist at the Redwood-Renville County Public Health Department, officials believe those affected by norovirus ate at the restaurant between October 23 and 26.

Woodford noted that several Burger King employees also became ill with norovirus food poisoning. Most of the people who were ill have recovered, but are now spreading the illness to family members, according to health officials.
